The Club Daneshill Sailing Club is based at a lovely lake and Nature Reserve situated outside Retford, North Nottinghamshire and was founded over 25 years ago. The Club promotes dinghy sailing as an exciting sport and a very sociable activity for all ages and abilities. The Club became affiliated to the Royal Yachting Association and members trained as sailing instructors and safety boat operators. This enabled the Club to become an RYA Registered Training Establishment offering courses for adults and children from the age of 8 years up - giving a recognised qualification. In addition, the Club also provides tuition for local schools and is approved by Notts. County Education. The Club has its own and members boats available and you are very welcome to sail with us as a taster. Please just ask! Where To Find Us Daneshill Sailing Club is situated between Retford and Bawtry, Doncaster just off the A638 near Torworth. Turn off the A638 (Great North Road) onto Daneshill Road and travel towards the village of Lound. The Club is clearly signposted, well before you reach the village. |
